I am picking up my rims from a friend of mine later this week. Here are the ones i'm getting...

he's selling them to me for $200, so I can't say no. Just a question on the new tires. I want the nitto terra grapplers for sure. Right now the rims have 305/50/20 on them and I think it might be a little too wide. what is the biggest tire can go with? my runner has the OME 881 and 890
thanks all...

Are you looking to go off road with your new setup? I believe there are some 275/55r20 tires out there that would be close to stock in a good all season sport tire. ( little bigger) They are actually reasonably priced too. Ive seen some tacos with this setup and it looked really good. You could do 20's with 33's but I think you would need at least a 2" body lift too to fit those. Hope this helps.

i have a small lift on right now and my stock tires look small. that's why I want to go bigger. I believe the lift is right around 2.5 inches. i would like the 305/50/20's but I think they might be too wide. I definately want the terra grapplers. just have to figure how big I can go. I don't go off road a lot but I do have to pull my boat out of some much holes occasionally.

Most likely the 305s are gonna be too wide but it really depends on the backspacing of the wheel. Id say if its 4" then they will fit, but might still rub on the fender wells. Any less backspacing and they are gonna rub the upper a-arms. I would try and get a 275 or 285 series tire.

275/60r20 in the Terra Grapplers are 33's and are probably narrow enough to fit. Pirelli makes the Scorpian ATR in 275/55r20 and that is great for on road and occasional off road. It is around 32.1 inches, so 1.5" bigger than stock. I would look into the dune grapplers, they are made in 265/50r20 which is stock, and 285/50r20 which is around 32" agian. These all would make good choices for you IMO.

Im running Pro comp 275/65/20's on my 99 limited. They rub when i turn or go offroad but i love the look of them stuffed in there. I would suggest doing a small body lift to clear them. I had to trip my front bumper and pound in some metal on the inner fender for them to clear.

i think 20 inch rims are to big to be off roading with, thats not what they were meant for. i work on the highways and during the winter time when the roads fall apart and we get pot holes the people with the 20inch rims and bigger are the ones blowing there tires out. so maybe keep your old setup for the off roading
