New WindShield #@!*&$!@

A few months ago a rock kicked up from behind this truck and hit my wind shield. My insurance sent someone out to seal the chip. No big deal. Last night the same thing happens... a rock hits my wind shield under the wiper blade. I didn't think anything of it and this morning I find an eight inch crack running up my wind shield. I'm getting it replaced tommorow for free but is this an indication of how weak the front wind shields are????

That sucks man. Sounds like it is getting taken care of really quick and at least you'll have a brand new windshield with no repairs. I'd take that over the tiny ding I have in mine.

Remember to double check that you get that factory tinted portion on the top of the windshield if you want it.

Well... just picked it up from the installer. I didn't even have to mention the factory tinted portion. Apparently they only deal with OEM windsheilds. My dealer actually recommended them to me as they use them all of the time. So... hopefully I won't have any problems with the windshield in the future. Looks good though !!!

I myself have had my windshield replaced twice. Once for a major passenger side accident, and once because the replacement for the accident was the wrong tint. We had Green tinted glass (OEM toyota) and it was originally replaced with PPG Gold windshield and Passenger Front Window. They both had to be replaced.

But on the weak note, Ive had retards at school whip pebles hard at my windshield becuase they think its funny, (along with drawing penises on all my glass with window chalk) and Ive had no problem yet...
