Hello. Great site. I've been lurking for about two months.
Bought a '04 V8 4wd Limited on 7/14/08 (crude oil peak!). Black. All air bags. It looked sooo good. From a Benz dealer. They had just put new tires on it. The thing glowed.
I think it had a spoiled life (trips to Bed, Bath & Beyond?). No more. First week I towed my boat locally three times. Second week I towed it to Northern Michigan, 370 miles one way. Several launches. Took it off roading. "Customised" it on a narrow trail (damn, so much for the glow). Lot's of fun in the open areas climing hills. It's awesome. Awesome pulling the boat up the ramp also.
