Hey all! I decided I'd join up considering I typically join helpful automotive forums for vehicles I am interested in purchasing. I have a long laundry list of past rides; some more glorious then others I've owned.. I've worked in a shop when I lived in Denver Colorado (now a central Missouri native), so I know my way around vehicles (to a degree!).
I am looking to get a used 4runner, preferably a third gen 99-2001 (maybe a 2002). I really do not know a whole lot about 4runners, except they damn fine vehicles, and if maintained well, can go for a lot of miles!
I currently drive a 2005 Acura TL, and although I think it's great, I have always loved the 3rd gen 4runners -- it's the first vehicle that I fell in love with.
So I have been on the prowl for a solid 99-2002 4runner, and since I owe more on my car then its value, I have opted to trade at a dealer most likely.
Any suggestions on what I should be looking for? I want a 4x4, and was thinking limited since I heard the seats were more comfortable then the sr5's -- although not sure about the sport edition seats..
Any suggestions? I'd gladly take any help I can get. There have been a few I've found around Missouri, ranging between $7-10,000 with right around 100 to 160,000 miles..
