newbie help needed

hey all, first off i'd like to say nice site, my 4runner is a 94' uk spec 3.0 turbo d, i recently had a bit of a problem with the rear diff breaking. it has done 170 000 miles. anyway i bought a second hand diff from jappart, the thing was rusty as hell but their you go,


anyway i've fitted new everything, bearings seals, brake cylinders etc etc. now i need to fill it with 2.5 litres of diff oil!

what oil do i use, the local lexus/toyota dealership says that i can use castrol 80 90 diff oil but is this good enough? i dunno but maybe you will.

I would think following the dealers recommendation would be fine. If you want some extra protection from extreme temps use sythetic.
