newbie intro

hey everyone, i just picked up my 99 4x4 4cyl 4runner the other day . its an auto with 122k.

Just figured Id introduce myself, im shopping as we speak for some goodies already.

The truck is my daily, But I plan on doing a slight lift kit (1.5') is what I have in mind ? And I plan on getting some wheels , either some newer yota oem or aftermarket , cant decide yet .

Also Within the next couple days I plan on doing a complete fluid change on everything front to rear, Not looking for to buy 16 bottles of atf fluid but its for a good cause.

Also Im thinking of coating my frame with some por 15 , unless someone wants to recomend something better. I just got rid of My 94 toyota pickup a few weeks ago cause it had major rot , it spread so damm fast... I dont want it to happen to me again.

Me and my buddie did some welding to keep it alive for a few more months. But I started to notice the metal I welded to was rotting out I called it quits.


looking forward to getting some ideas from people on the forum, If anyone has any suggestions for a new owner with a 120k please share.

Ya so far I ordered some 5000k DDM hids, drilled front rotors and new pads, and all weather floor mats.

Next on this list is a lift kit, I'm leaning towards the daystar mpolly spacer style 1.5 . Just trying to also decide If I should get struts in the mean time.

Also I cant decide what brand to go with on my fluids (trans diff, etc) , Ive always used castrol . But Im just curious if theres anything better out there.

If you're just draining and filling it, you'll only need about 4 quarts.
