Newbie T4R owner....need some tips

Hello forum members,
I became a proud owner of a 2006 V8 T4R just a few days ago.
I'm looking for advice from fellow forum members. I'm looking to get all initial maintenance done, like oil change, diff, tranny (and radiator flush if required).
Is there anything else I should keep in mind?
Also, any recommendations for brand of oil and filter?

I'll basically be using the vehicle purely for highway driving (NO towing or off-roading in the near future). I know i know these vehicles are very capable off-roaders. I'm from the middle east so have a fair bit of idea

Also, any suggestions on brand of tires? (might need new ones soon).

Would be great to previous history of the vehicle if you have that from the owner, or checking on the toyota owners website(https://auth2.toyota.com/owners/web...er=14044&closeDate=19-Feb-13&dealerFound=true) and see if it was maintained at a dealership. Also let us know how many miles are on your truck as well so we know which particular mileage service you are at

Sorry...forgot to mention, it has 49k miles on it.
I didn't get much receipts from the previous owner as far as maintenance goes, but he said the truck had regular oil changes at a local toyota dealership.

Thank you so much for the above link. I inserted my vehcle's VIN and it gave me so much information. It appears like the car has been maintained at the dealership exclusively. Some highlights from the report are (besides oil changes, brake pads, lubrications and general stuff):

Air filter and cabin filter replaced - 03/2009 - 18k miles
Allignment and power steering flush - 10/2009 - 22.9k miles
90L cut pedal-4runner SSC - 04/2011 - 32.5k miles (What is this)

Great low mileage Runner! And that was just a factory recall on the vehicle. No worries!

Ohh, thank you for the replies wadle5. Yes, I'm very happy with the purchase. And even more satisfied now that I've seen the service records on the link that you'd provided.

The car is filthy from the inside as it was used primarily to haul kids around town, but it drives just like new and has never towed anything (like a boat or an rv).
AND, I got a pretty sweet deal on it. The seller was very nice
Looking forward to years and years of trouble-free motoring.

Any other tips for maintenance that I should do since I just bought the car?

They cut the bottom of your pedal to prevent the possibility of it getting stuck at full throttle
