Hello everyone. I am from northern BC Canada and I just found a 90 2rd sr5 5spd 4runner with 160km on it 3.0v6 its purple and has cancer and the trusty broken rear window but all in all its pretty clean. This is my first Toyota, if you have info which i should know about feel free to fill me in. My dad has a 01 tundra with 140km on it (Yeah I know!!) and it still runs like new. So thats my motivation to get into the toyota scene. At the moment I am getting new juice in the truck (oil, radiator, diff, transfer, etc.), trying to figure out the cheapest way to fix that window and lookin at some new tires. Have it narrowed down to the Walmart special on the goodyear wranglers or the canadian tire special on the BFG Land Terrain tires. I also talked to this guy in kitimat who has made a custom 3" body lift kit that he volunteered to put on my truck for the cost of the parts ($30 bucks) and sell his used 32" swampers with rims for 300.

Your right that is rare. I have never seen one. I have taken the liberty of posting a picture so others can see it without going to your link.

Thanks for posting the pic. Unfortunately there is a bit of rust, but the front quarter panels are easy to fix. There is a bit on the passenger door and under the drivers side door as well. I want to fix it but can't afford to get it professionally done yet. I am thinking of just quick fixing the rust before the snow falls here. Any suggestions? I was just going to sand down the rust and put some of this rust protector on it and spray paint over top. I want to paint it like a gunmetal color next summer.

The proper short & long term solution is to buy used original red colored front fenders from your local junk yard or buy & sell classified papers, websites and bulletin boards where they can be had for around $25 each where as to buy them new and paint them professionally it would cost you about $500+ easily and they won't last as more than likely they will be aftermarket which are usually made in Taiwan or China.

Thanks for those links. I have been checking out the pg bargin findaer lately. Never thought of just trying to find some used fender flares though (duh) but maybe i'll ask my buddy in victoria if he can track some down there.....someone said parts down there are pretty good since they don't really used road salt (no snow) but thanks alot but, your right about having to drop 500 for new ones and getting them painted. I want to get a new paint job next summer though....so i may just buy some new ones and get them done the same time as the paint job. Just depends on how the rust under the doors holds up......i am doubting that they will last. Man I wish I knew how to do body work...haha

The 1990-95 4-Runners with 2 doors should have the same doors as the 1989-95 pickups.Contact your local vocational school or community college as this is the begining of the school year and they will put you on the waiting list at the car body repair course where they will fix your rig for free.
