Newbie with some questions that i need answered

Off road Upgrade HELPPP

I am planning on getting an 04 or 05 ltd 4runner, and i want to upgrade it a little bit for some light off roading. I plan to take it on the beach and heavy snow and some light trails...I was wondering what I should do to it.

So far I have been thinking about

New tires...BFG At's 265/70/17
Front and/or Rear Locker...(Detroit or ARB cant decide)
Maybe a spacer kit 1 or 2 in. front 1 in. rear?


What do you all think about this?

And my other problems is that i havent been able to find any thing for the 4th gen on the internet..do they even make lockers and stuff for them or what cuz im having a very hard time, suggestoins on sites to visit would be much appreciated.

Cornfed spacer lifts seems to be pretty popular here in this forum.

Is it a 4wd or 2wd. Personally, I don't know much about off-roading but for light off-roading, I don't think you'll need an aftermarket locker (if they're even made for the 4th gen.

I'd just go with the spacer lift and upgrade the tires.

I like the Daystar Lift but the cornfed is popular here. I would go with at least 2 inches, maybe up to 3" before you start to have to alter the drivetrain.
The BFGs sound like a good choice. You'll find people recommending them, Nittos and others around here, but that is a good start.
Assuming it is 4wd the ATRAC system mimics a locker and will be more than plenty for mild off roading. I've done a decent amount of mild to more moderate off roading without any issues using the ATRAC.
Other than a good recovery strap, maybe a rear hitch shackle and other off road/recovery gear, you really won't need anything else.

sweet thank you....since i dont have to worry about spending around a grand on lockers...i can focus that on a better lift/bigger tires
