Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Over the Christmas, I've purchased 07 Titanium SR5 V8 4WD w/3rd row seats to tow my boat. We took it to the snow and I already feel the difference in 4wd in snow (first 4WD vehicle for us). Looking forward to reading through some of the mods here and putting them on.
First mod will be adding a homelink and go from there.

Cool another Bay Area member! Last week I was able to test out the 4wd in Tahoe. I was very impressed with the 4runners traction through snow and ice. It was really difficult to break traction in the snow! It performed way better than my previous Nissan Xterra.

Yup. Went up back in December and it started to snow in the morning. Even in 2WD it's pretty sure footed, only felt a small amout of slippage in the front wheels. Switched over to 4WD, no problem at all. Never felt safer driving in any other car in rain than I did with the 4Runner in snow. Just for kicks, at gas stations and parking lots, I drive all over the unplowed snow. I'm a snow junkie.


BTW, I know it's not the right place for it... But we should consider a small meet or something with the number of Bay Area members who participate in snow sports. I normally ride at North Star, so if anyones going on a weekend shoot me a PM.

When I'm up there, I'm going to see if I spot any 4Runner owners and see if they're a member here.
