Whats up everybody, I'm new to the forums here but I've come on here and looked around a few times when I've needed some information. I've got a black '01 SR5 that I've done some work to, but you guys blow me away with some of the shit you do, definitely makes me want to pull out the credit card and start buying shit right now.

There is a point to this thread, I'm trying to take off that stupid wind deflector on the back and I thought I saw some covers or something that would cover the tapped holes on the hatch, but I've been searching around and can't find anything about it. Am I crazy, or is there something to cover this up?

Not sure about a "cover" but one suggestion would be to find a shorter screw that you piant body color and thread in there.. obviously a flat low profile as you can find... maybe even a set screw type item without a head on it.

Thats not a bad idea, I haven't pried the brackets off yet to see what it looked like underneath (they must use an adhesive on it because they are pretty well stuck on there), I was going to see what other people did before I fully committed to keeping it off.

welome! once you get that thing off sell it! there are tons of folks on here that dont have one but want one. im thinking about doing the same thing. and screws sound like a good idea to me. there are lots of options on those!

you can always just do a generic screw cover, and either use a machine screw, or maybe allen head style.
