Newly lifted 4runner needs info on tire-well grinding

Hello all,
I just put a Camberg 2.5" suspension lift (coil-overs with new upper-arms) on to my beloved 4runner that I have had for many years. I put daystar 1.5" coil inserts on the rear with new ProComp shocks.

I have heard through the grapevine that I will be able to fit 275/75/R16 and possible 285/75/R16 with some grinding in the wheel-wells.

Here are the spot on the front and rear that will probably need some grinding.

Anyone who has done any tire well grinding, their input would be appreciated.

you will be fine. No grinding required. even with 285's. You may rub a little on the first circle pic, but its not enough to warrant grinding,

the rear doesnt need any and the front doesnt either. Just crank up your coilovers some if the 285's are rubbing anywhere.

I think that there will need to be some definite grinding to be done on the front.
Rear maybe not.
When I turn the 265/75 tires they seem to get very close to the rear part of the wheel-well, There is a plastic mud guard over this area, and when peeled back I can see that it is a metal angel that give the side fender some rigidity. This angel is the area that I am most concerned about, but nothing a angel grinder cant solve.

I did order some procomp crawler rims with a small amount of off set, which will make it ride a little different from the stock rims. So I guess my real question is... go with the bigger 285's and do a little grinding on the front and maybe a little jacking on the coilovers( which makes for a much stiffer ride the more I turn them). Or go with the 275's and have less issues.
* I really plan to flex this girl out, so I really need a NO RUB RIDE, fully flexed for the most part.

Ps_ the main reason that I need to not jack the coilovers up any more is bc eventually it will be fitted with a Shrockwork bumper and wench. Which will eat up the majority of left over thread space on the coilovers.

DeTwizzle- I run 285's and wheel my truck hard, Jason wheels his truck even harder as well as tons of others on here. I have not needed to grind anything down. The back will not need anything done to it. The front if it needs anything is a hammer taken to the pinch weld that is underneath the plastic fender liner in the first circled picture. No cutting or grinding at all.

Ive never had any rubbing issues up front, even when i had 305's on stock wheels and ome 881 coils with no top plate spacers. If anything the tire should be getting close to the front bumper rather then the rear of the fender.

So the consensus is 285's and a little hammering... better answers than I thought I would get.

Good to hear that the tire should be getting closer to the front rather than the fender, that shrockrock bumper will solve any of those issues.

I'll have to keep y'all updated as this thing progresses toward its final stages.
