Nice,simple and Clean Mod

Purchased like my 8th Toyota, i think my 7th 4runner. I dont do any off roading or anything with it, i use my 3rd gen for that and trailer it with this, this ones too pretty to off road with.




Even before i purchased it i knew what i was gonna do, simple and clean. So bought a set of 20's off the limited edition, bought a brand new set of perelli scorpion ATR that came off a new ford f-150, there wider then the stock tires the limited come with which i think looks much better. also pulled off the flairs and painted them in my garage. purchased new clips for them as ive read most of them break...which they did

Curious...I believe only the top of the flares come off, the rest, at least on my TE are part of the front/rear bumper. Did you just tape it off or what? Also, what paint did you use?

Canadian SR5 models have the TE trims.

Correct, but the limited are moulded to the front and rear bumpers

And I just painted my color matched flares to look like black plastic. Lol,

went to a paint shop where they matched it based on the paint code, put 3 layers of paint and 3 clear. the hardest part was prepping them, most important when painting is prep. turned out pretty good, i was happy

U now have a very "limited" SR5! I like that. Personally like body matched flares. Not as practical off road but hey, that's what ur 3rd gen is for. Best o both worlds!
