The 4 cylinder models came with 4.56 gears. They are about twice the price of Nitros, last I checked.

I know this a old post but did you pull the front diff yourself or have a shop do it?

Contemplating tossing 4.56 gears with a Harrop e-locker in the rear on my 2015 SR5. Just not sure how much of a pain it is to do the front. I checked out the link on the Fjcruisers forum. Doesn't look too bad.

Remove skid plate, CV axles, drive shaft, AAD connector and some bolts.

It is pretty difficult to maneuver it out of/back into position while on a creeper if you're a scrawny office weakling, like me. A proper lift would make the job far easier.
