Whats up guys, I'm pretty new here, but figured maybe you could help me with a problem Ive had since I owned my 4runner.
Shortly after I got it, I installed a new headunit. While hooking up the wiring harness, I was left with two orange wires that didnt connect to the headunit but were on the conversion harness for illumination. So I figured, just connect them. Well, that sparked when I touched them so I quickly disconnected it, and saw no adverse affects. No blown fuses or anything....until I turned on my headlights.
Most of the lights that light up the ac controls do not work ever and the lights for the display that show temp, time and fuel info only works when the headlights are off. Its really odd. I also noticed that the clock display lights will work all the time when I pull the fuse for my tailights.
I really dont know what happenened or what to do. I can live with it the way it is, but Id really love to have it fixed, haha.
