No Brakes on my '98 4Runner!!

Just today, out of the clear blue, when I pressed the brakes they went all the way to the floor without stopping my Runner! And that happened two different times! Fortunately, I was going slow and no one was in front of me! What does that indicate?? Air in line, low on brake fluid? Please help!
