No CEL, but codes were thrown

Its raining today, so the video for my 'vibration at idle' thread will have to wait.

In the meantime, I went to double-check all the work I did. Last thing (out of curiosity) was to run the ODB II to see if any codes came up. Again, my CEL went away after replacing both 02 sensors on exhaust.

Sure enough, P0130,133, and 171 came up (02 sensor/MAF). Very frustrating. I cleared them, did a drive and then re-checked. No codes, no CEL. I checked that the sensors were seated properly etc and they looked fine.

Any thoughts?

Just because you cleared the codes and drove it a bit still doesn't mean there's not an issue. Sometimes, 02's take multiple key cycles to reset. And just because you have an 02 code doesn't mean its a bad sensor right off the bat. Did you inspect the wiring? How does the connector look? I always tell people that a DTC isn't always going to tell you what part to replace, it's going to tell you the general direction you need to start looking in to appropriately diagnose a fault.

Yup, re-checked all wiring and checked how the sensors were sitting. It's all tight and neat. General direction wise, I'm thinking I have a vacuum leak somewhere but am unable to locate it. I did the carb cleaner on the hoses check, no change.
