No door power?

Ever since ive bought my 4runner, my back driver side window will not go down with the buttons in front or back. It never bothered me till now, now that the weather is getting warmerish. I am not sure but how do i tell if its a power problem, a motor problem, or what? Am i going to have to rip apart the door and get my old voltmeter out?

When I did LED's in my door handles, I took out the door switches to get the door trim off. I tested the window (with the front main switch) and found it doesn't work unless BOTH switches are plugged in. So start there, take your switches off, and make sure they plugged in.

I have almost the same problem - its the rear passenger window that doesn't work right. It does go up and down sometimes though. The PO showed me that if you reset the connector to the door switch, it remedies the problem temporarily. May be a loose connection to the switch or possibly in the switch itself. Occasionally resetting the connection works fine for me.

This jives with what [MENTION=81859]02_SE_Runner[/MENTION] said about both switches needing to be connected.

BTW, you can pop the door switch out without dismantling your door

Yea, they are both plugged in, idk what the problem is, maybe the switch in the back is bad, making neither of them work? Im gonna try and find another switch, throw it in and see if that fixes it after im done wiring my cb.
