Funny story. It was looking like rain last night so my neighbor was walking to the dumpster and I bugged him to help me push the truck under the covering.
I was telling him what I was experiencing while I had the hood open. Well as soon as I said no power to the whole truck he pointed at the battery cable and there next to it was the wire you are holding with a mile of electrical tape on it halfway unraveled.
The PO had twisted some 18g wire together and taped it to the Mine wire and then just crimped it to the terminal connector.
So, today when I get home, me and some solder are going to get real personal with that wire.
I suspect it will be running before dark. :guitar3:
