No Falken Wildpeaks in 275/70-17? Or go with 285?

Exactly right your wheels specs can really change things. I read through thread after thread and figured this out after reading how same tire and size rubs different based on wheels because I want 285s. For example, I love the FN FX Pro wheels but the have a bigger offset than the TRD Pro wheels and more than the stock trail wheels. The FN FX Pro Wheels create more rubbing issues because they stick out further.

I have the 285s with FX Pro wheels and no issues with body mount. Just had to remove mud flaps like everyone else. I have aftermarket bumper so the liner does not apply to me. Also note the FX wheels are 8" wide and better width for 285s than TRD Pro wheels which are 7".

I should specified that people with Pro Wheels either having no rubbing on the mud flaps or just flatten em and there’s no rubbing vs FX wheels have to flatten or remove mud flaps plus a trim up front. Anyways, wheels specs are as important as tire specs for fitting 285s

Wheel specs is were my setup differs. I know the FN FX wheels have a 0 offset which makes the 285 less likely to rub. My ray10's are -10mm so they stick out more. I just need to decide if it's worth the look as the 285's are 1" wider and 2 inches wider stancewith both sides.
