Great observation - Yes I am empathetic to racial issues as at their core they're human ones. I'm not sure how that makes me disingenuous. The belittling is the fun nature of the Internet and you excel at it.
We all get that you're some badass keyboard cowboy with fantasies of killing a minority in "self defense" or during your bug out plan, but you could at least make some occasional sense.
I would like to go off topic for a minute.
You do realize that there will always be problems with minorities right? Human nature will always dictate this and it cannot be fixed, IMO.
Now, my definition of "minority" is probably quite different than most. Let me explain with an example first:
Let's say I have a group of 100 people on an island. They are all the same race, same sex, same color tone, same build, same everything, except IQ. Ten of those people are morons (IQ below 68) and although they can function (barely) they will be teased and ostracized by the remaining 90 fully capable adults.
Now I have the same situation on the island only my ten special people have an IQ of 200, way above the other 90 people. I will have the same results.
Now on that same island I now have 10 people that were born with various birth defects. Same thing.
Now on the island I have 10 that have a different skin color. Again, we get the same thing.
Human nature will dictate how we are in certain environments. Trust me, if you are different than the norm you will be treated that way and it's not a pretty sight. Can we change human nature? Sure we can. After 30 more generations or so we should be good to go lol but time is the only way to change things.
How does a stupid engineer know these things? I was born with a birth defect. I had two clubbed feet to the point that I walked on my ankles. 47 years ago the treatment was to wear the "polio" braces (you know - black heavy shoes, metal braces going down to knees and ankles, clinked when you took a step, etc) and the normal kids in elementary school treated me like I had Ebola. Sure, there were a few compassionate ones but the vast majority was the Ebola treatment for me. Funny thing was the people who showed me the most compassion were the outcasts like myself.
Yeah, I paid attention to that.
My point is we ALL are like that. You might say you have no racial bias but so what. How would you feel if you were in the majority on that island and ten people moved in with horrendous painful birth defects and they moaned and cried all the time? How about if on that island you had to deal with a group of minority people who were blind and they asked for your assistance - every. single. hour. of. every. single. day. to help them, then cussed you out if you said you had things to do for yourself? What if those blind people spit on you and hated you just because you could see and they can't? They would say "It's my RIGHT for you to feed me, house me, clothe me, assist me!
Sure, that's an extreme example that won't happen and hey, you might have the compassion of Jesus and be able to handle that. How about the other 89 people in the majority though? Yeah, me too.
