No more N94's?

The suspension on the new to me '02 is stock (meaning completely shot) and I was planning to replace it with the OME stuff from my donor truck. Unfortunately the left rear shock, and Old Man Emu N94, was damaged in the collision.

I thought I could order a new set online but no one seems to have them.

Does anyone have a link or source, or are they no longer made? What would be a comparable rear shock?

Need to get these on ASAP. I'm bouncing all over the road here.

I think they just renamed them, now they are the 600XX series.

The N94/600XX is a shock so it won't affect the lift, I assume you're talking about coils?

As far as I know the OME 906 coil has the least amount of lift and it's still 2" over stock.
 
No, I have coils too, hopefully theyre not damaged as well. I just wanted to get the same thing so I know it fits, basically
 
Well, I went with the normal valving but the rear end is sitting a lot higher than it did with my N94s. I have the 880 coils on, but I had those before and the front to back lift was even. Now I've got a lot of rake. Whats going on?

The rear shocks should have ZERO effect on ride height. They do have compression resistance, but not enough to offset the weight of the vehicle. Take the shocks out, and confirm the do compress, also check ride height with the shocks out.
 
That's what I thought but the 880s aren't new, only the 60028s. I can try checking it with them removed - other than that I can't figure out what changed the geometry so much.
 
After you lowered the truck off of the jack/jackstatnds, have you given some time/miles for the suspension to settle before measuring again?

Its been about a month and 500 miles with no sign of settling. Should it take longer?
 
Wow, no.
It's should have settled after a couple of yards of driving. Don't understand why doing a simple rear shock change altered your ride hight. As its the spring that alters height, the purpose of the rear shock is to dampen the spring ocilations.
 
After reading this a couple times I am still a little confused about what you replaced. Did you replace the front with the 880's and the back with 906" on your 02? From what I have read there should be a 2" difference between the two which would explain the rake. The fact that you did not have it before is odd. If you can tell us everything you changed it would help.

No, the 880s are on the rear with the 60028s - the fronts are the salvaged N91SCs. I asked what would be similar to the N94s since they're not around anymore and the answer I got was the 600 series. Is there really a 2" difference between the 94s and 600s? That would really suck...

ETA - from what I understand the shocks should have no bearing on ride height. Is this untrue?
 
the front shocks could have a difference in ride height. It depends on the measurement from the lower bushing to the bottom plate where the coil sits. The rear shocks will have no bearing on ride height. I think what happened is the new front shocks lowered your front height

Edit: I see you did not change the front shocks. I am still confused

Likewise confused. Might have to buy a plate bumper and spare to even it out.

Oh well.
 
all gas charged shocks will alter ride height slightly, the gas charge tries to push the piston out and this action ia just like a spring, however it is usually less than an inch or so of lift. perhaps your coils have shifted off the perches.
