No power to tail gate

I have a 2007 sr5 and just yesterday, nothing on the tail gate is working. The tail gate will not open, the window will not roll down, the defrost and rear wiper will also not work.

I checked the fuses and those seem to be ok, but I am not positive as I just bought this truck 1 month ago.

All ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Try prying the panel off the inside of the tailgate and check the ECM on the right side. For the window, make sure your window lock is off ;P

I disconnected both positive and negative on the battery, waited a few minutes, re-connected both posts, and tried again, and still nothing on the tailgate is working

Thanks Chaz, the link you posted is what is wrong. I will attempt to take off the rear panel this weekend and take a look. Thank you!

If you figure out that it is the rear door ecu I think I may have an extra! After looking at the schematics and tracing down a lot of wires My friend and I discovered my problem was that the previous owner had an issue and spliced in a piece of wire but did a bad job and he/she did not place all the wires back into the loom. Furthermore the loom was not securely clipped out of the way of the moving rear window. This caused a wire to get pinched by the window and eventually cut. Hope this helps.

Happened to me once. Wind back window all the way down then all the way up. And hold the up for a couple seconds. If it doesn't detect the window is all the way up it won't allow any of the back functions like window wiper, rear demister etc
