Noise upon initial braking

Anytime I have a passenger they ask about a noise when braking. Upon questioning it is a brief liquid or whoosh noise when I first apply braking every time the pedal is pressed. I cannot hear it from the driver side or riding on the passenger side though the one driving still can. Anyone have an idea what it is or heard similar?

Yep. Normal.

It's a Toyota thing and has something to do with the brake booster. Our 4runner has done this since new and every Toyota I've had as a rental for work has done it (Corolla, Camry, RAV4, Venza, Sienna).
