Noise When Stopping

Here's one for you guys: my '05 Sport has developed a noise when I am braking and about to come to a stop. When the 4Runner slows to about 5 mph, there is a sound from the underneath the rear that sounds like, well, someone throwing a quarter into a coffee can for lack of a better description.

It's just a sound. There is no vibration or judder in the frame. Just that sound.

I have crawled underneath and looked around for something loose, but cannot find a thing.

Any thoughts?

It may be something in your parking brake assembly inside your rear rotors. I heard a very similar sound to what you are describing when mine decided to disassemble themselves after a failed attempt at fixing them.
