Same here. Picked my SR5P last week and there is a consistent rattle coming from the passenger speaker. Might take it in to the dealer.
From my experience in searching the forums to find a solution for my own rattle, I'm convinced that whatever 4Runners are called overseas it's the Japanese word for "rattle." It seems every single 4R owner deals with rattles at times. And from a zillion different causes. However, in the case of a brand new vehicle you have extra leverage. Go back to the dealer and make as big a fuss as it takes. Start out nice of course, but be prepared to ramp it up if they try to dismiss your issue. Get the problem on record under warranty. Tell them you want it fixed or they can have it back. If need be get the regional rep involved. Some Toy dealers are great, but many are awful. Hold their feet to the fire. You'll get results. If there's really a rattle that's a problem for you take it back. If they don't do much for you, make the service manager ride with you. Yea rattles are a PITA to track down but it gets done.
There are many a rattle thread on here but your talking about a brand new truck...
I've never noticed a rattle in my 4Runner, not even while driving aroundwithout half a front clip due to bumper install. Not saying you don't have the curse but let them look at it. If originating dealer doesn't work, move on, you proly don't want to go there for service anyways.

Even after a season of off-roading, our 2014 TE still has no rattles. One squeak in the front suspension that showed up AFTER the installation of the 2.5" Dynastar leveling lift. But, the squeak can only be heard during slow off-roading on a bumpy trail. Totally quiet on paved roads.

When I got my brand new SR5 14 model last Nov. There where some annoying rattles with the seats and rear speakers. Let your car break in a little bit, unless the noise is just that annoying. I noticed the noise was worse in cold weather. Anyway, I got leather put in and the rattles are gone on the seats and the rear speakers I don't notice anymore.

somthing I have noticed, is when that time of year comes and it starts to get below freezing out, mysterious rattles/creaking plastic sounds arise. Don't hear anything three quarters of the year, then BAM. Doesn't bother me, I have noticed this in many new vehicles over the years (only late model vehlicles) primarily Toyotas but others as well. On my 13 4RUNNER, it seems the winter ticks are around the windshield under the dash and somewhere in the rear interior. No desire to hunt it down, just wait until it warms up in spring :thumb:
Also, of course this goes hand in hand with suspension creaks, what do you expect when it's cold. Aftermarket will even be more noticeable with, spherical bearings, uniballs, bushings, differnet material shaft seals, list goes on. Even trying to coat with a lube or coating doesn't do much, when it's that cold shit is thick & stiff.

It's probably something minor like a heat shield or skid plate. That being said, if you are close, you should take it back. I'm about 100 miles from a Toyota dealer I somewhat trust so honestly, I'd probably track down the rattle myself and fix it. If it was something major then I would make the drive to the dealer.
At the risk of sounding like a complete moron I thought I had a rattle on my passenger side as well. Paid attention to it and realized that it was the unbuckled passenger seat belt knocking into the plastic sliding adjuster thing. Moved the seatbelt down & problem solved.

What did you do in the glovebox?
Took the plastic hitch wiring harness out and stored it. Stuck a rubber band around all the papers and manual.
Were you getting a low hum vibrarion rattle?

This forum is pretty good at fixing rattles, but we are gonna need a lot more info...where is it coming from, at what speeds does it happen, what RPM, what are the ambient temps, does it only happen under load...etc..etc...etc Low hum and rattle could be anything from your girlfriend disliking your driving style to your body disconnecting from the frame.
Bottom area of passenger side, happens at idle or when accelerating or when driving at a constant speed, rpm (have to look, but a low rpm for sure),happens at any temp ...cold at start up or warm with heat on while driving, under load?
