Hi all, in reading all 7 pages (a couple times) there seem to be a few diferent options to better seal the prinsu rack. For those that have had their rack install for months/years, would you mind sharing if your solution is still working for you? Thanks in advance!

Hey all, just wanted to say that our FrontRunner Slimline 2 for the 5th gen uses the stock 4 mounts in back, and then up front has adhesive spacer blocks that fit into the rain gutters. the No Drill option was included in our assembly materials without having to buy it separate. Very secure, zero issues after about a year and some VERY heavy rain this season.

Sherpa Crestone , 3 years now, still sealed, still looks new no leaks. Adjusted once the faring a bit the first week of ownership the whole rack has not moved. Great company that really specializes in racks. The back of this rack also looks the best imo as it matches the hatch spoiler perfectly.

The delrin comes in .75 x 1.0 part number 8662K52, you pick the length. Had to sand the sealing side to take out the grooves.

The prinsu spacers are 1.0 x .75 OD X .50 ID.

Standard 1/8 o rings ID of .296 fit great on the .308 bolt shank from prinsu, but are too thick (0.574) for the .5 ID of the prinsu spacer, so one needs a slightly larger bore diameter. Hence the 35/64 drill at .547 dia. This is a good amount of o ring compression but not too much that it can’t be assembled. One would be fine but you get a pack of 50 so double up.

Used a 1/16 epdm sheet for the bottom. PN 8990K71

Hey just getting all the parts ready. The Delrin sheet part number 8662K52 is for 1.5”. Just curious if you chose this on purpose instead of 8662K51 which is cut to 1”.

Also, do you happen to know the part number for the o-rings? Pardon my ignorance but there are so many parts of the site. I want to make sure I’m ordering the correct ones. TIA

I used the 1” version so either they changed the part number or I had a typo in my post. I don’t have my o rings anymore so I don’t know the part number, but the decimal data should allow you to find the right ones. Boring the delrin was tricky as it grabs and I had to step up drill sizes slowly. But I didn’t have a pro setup. Result is still solid tho.
