Picked this up for the 3rd garage stall, a cash-n-thrash ride for warm season top-down cruisin' in CO, UT, AZ, NV & WY.

Was in the 06' - 09' model-year roadster market and looked hard at the usual suspects; Boxter S, S2000 AP2, M4 Roadster but after owning a couple of Maxima's over the years I've always appreciated the VQ motors and went there with a less costly Z (I wanted usable torque across a broad RPM range, this ride delivers that at an effective price-point). Has that 'boy-racer, mid-life-crisis thing goin' on' but I'm good with that.

Seller was a 67 year-old lady that took great care, a CO car since original delivery and it shows. Clean as all get out top-to-bottom, dealer maintained and only 15,979 on the ODO when I committed to it.

Just got back from a 150 mile shakedown cruise down the CO eastern plains and back up along the front-range (twisty's and low traffic), a friggin' blast. Has some ballz and handles wells. Took it to 110 MPH today in a rural, no traffic safe zone.

Not dumpin' money in it, bought it to drive. Slappin' some Michelin Super Sports on in the Spring and later I'll add a high-end brake system, that and consistent maintenance, that's it. The 4Runner remains my primary ride, I'll hammer this "toy" for 3-4 years and then unload it.

Looks fun. Any plans to take it to the track or a high performance driving school. After going through a HP school I have to say I had a blast and it was worth every penny. Now when I get to use somebody else's toy I get more out of it don't beat the car as bad and have a great time. Oh yea some of the little stuff you learn to save your bacon is helpful as well. But any way you can try and see if you have a local track you can drive it at. Most insurance companies sell one day track insurance and the local track will probably know the most affordable in the area.
What ever you decide to do be safe and have fun.
And remember once the tire loose adhesion to the road you have to loose a lot of speed before they will even think about grip again. Say loose traction at 50 mph. Your probable slide till you hit 10-15 mph before you will be able to do anything with steering or breaks

I know that paddle-shifts are faster, but there's no way I'd own any sort of sports car without it being a manual. Well, almost no way. If you wanted to give me a 488, I think I'd take it.

Nice ride. I had an 06 that was lemon-lawed and later bought an 08. I was a fun ride and i got to drive it weekly from FL to NC for about 6 months.

My toy for now is a 2011 Vstar 950. Still need to get a decent pic of it...
