This is probably a really simple answer but I bought two e-locking rear axles to swap out. They are sitting on the lawn on blocks ready to be cleaned up and painted, and possibly bearings and seals replaced. I want to test / wire up the e-lockers and in order to do this I will need to spin the axles but neither will spin. I try to turn the driveshaft flange thingy on the third member and I can hear a clunk out at the wheel assemblies preventing it from turning. Is this the emergency brake? Doesn't it disengage when the spring tension is released? What else would be preventing it from turning?
