E-Locker and ABS question

My son is installing a genuine Toyota ELocker rear axle assembly on 1998 4runner. He is using an aftermarket wiring harness to power it up. I know on my 4runner with Elocker engaged the ABS turns off. I don't think my son's after market wiring kit addresses this. My question is will he have to disable the ABS when he is using his E-Locker? I've done some research but could find my answer. Appreciate any advice.

my first 3rd gen I did a retro fit with a custom harness . I dont remember anything about abs on it. I used the elocker often and never physically disabled the abs and dont remember ever having a problem.

A '98 4Runner has 3-channel ABS anyway... so it can't even TRY to pulse the left and right rear brakes separately. I wouldn't worry about it.

Regarding ABS, I assume my 2000 4runner works the same, at least it looks similar. If so, why does it disable when I have the Elocker engaged? Curious is all

It is designed to be used in 'emergencies' at under 5mph where ABS would get in the way anyway (where wheel slip is expected in very loose conditions).
