Noobie questions

1. Will ground clearance improve with a 3" lift kit if I don't run big tires?I recently bought brand new Nitto terra grappler 265/70/r17 tires and am not planning on buying bigger size tires, so I am debating whether I should install lift kit or not.

2. I will be replacing lower ball joints in next few days and was wondering if an alignment will be required.

1. Technically no however your approach and departure angles will improve as well as flex in off-road situations. Many times added armor increases the weight of your truck so heavier duty springs also handle the weight better.
