How's it going! Searching around for accessories for the 4Runner and found this forum today. After seeing some of the pics and threads, makes me want to spend some $$$ on my wife's 4Runner and not my toys. Name is J.R. I use the same screen name among many other sites, mainly mustang sites. Wife's dream car was a 4Runner and bought it for her in May 06' just two months prior to my son being born. We just had to have a larger vehicle and have had no regrets choosing T4R.

Just over 31K miles on her, completely stock, SR5 V6. Mods which I have found thus far on this site are more appearnce modifications than anything. Plan I have in mind which who knows when the modding will start is: chrome grille guard(wife's choice), Valour exhaust tip, HID kit(great articles on this site BTW), hood deflector, door sills, sport racing pedals, flip down DVD/Screen(for the little guy), hitch, K&N replacement filter.

Instead of spending $$$ on my rides, maybe later this year I can treat my wife's ride with some goodies to make it more appealing and enjoyable for me....cough* cough*...her to drive.

Here is some pics after detailing. Usually spend anywhere from 8-16 hours detailing my rides. Enjoy and I look forward to learning from many of you on the site.

Nice Ride.......looks kind of familiar.

This picture was taken before I installed them, but I got a set of Lamin-X headlight film. http://www.lamin-x.com I went with the light smoke as to not inhibit the lights. I think it is a nice subtle change in the look.

Welcome! :hello:

How about one of these bug shields. I think it gives it a rugged, meaner look!

Or some taillight guards

Those are a couple of the accessories I put on my new 4R. Enjoy the new truck!

Welcome :D

Yes there are a lot of cosmetic mods here , but alot of trucks that have been tricked for off roading , lifts , tires , ect.... some mild , some wild. Gotta look closer or look at 4R's of the month section. Some pretty capable tough trucks there

Congrats on the no spoiler look . I love it and if I didn't have holes in the roof I'd rip mine off in a heartbeat. Very few and far between without the spoiler. I think they look more truck , utilitarian without the spoiler. Just my opinion though.

is yours a 2wd or a 4wd ?

Doug, love the bug shield you posted and I'll keep that in mind.

MikesToy, the wife would like a spoiler. I kinda like it without, but who knows. May see after doing a few other things to it.

Falls, it's 2WD. Being here in west Tx, it's just flat as can be, fields all arounds, and the dirt blows. No hills to have some fun, but I'm not sure if she would like the off-road look. I have shown her a pic of one T4R with off road accessories, and she digged it.
