Yeah I kind of dropped off once I sunk my runner, but thanks for the tag, I'll be more active on this thread now.

What's up fellas. Never checked out the NorCal region in here until now.

Anyways, sort of new to the Bay Area. Been here since July 2019 - came from VA.

I've been to a few places locally, mostly with TacomaWorld people. In for some wheeling pics, camping, and BS.

Oh yeah, and here's my 4Runner if you see it out and about.

CLOSED!!!!

They have barricades at Slick Rock at both the Alpine side and Spicer Rd. Also, barricades at Corral Hollow and Black Rock Springs OHV. The only thing I have seen open is Sourgrass and possibly some stuff over in Alpine County off Monitor Pass.

There are some challenging lines to pick from, off camber hill climbs with big ruts and trees that love to kiss bed sides.

There are challenges everywhere out there. But most people just stick to what they know
I maybe like you like to try the hard stuff to not only challenge myself but to see if my rig can actually handle it.
So then in turn when I am on the trail and there is an obstacle with no bypass I can confidently pick a line and concurre it.

I read that Stanislaus NF opened up yesterday.. I wonder how busy it'll be this weekend, I may head up for a day trip Sunday to scope it out.

I went over Sonora pass to Leavit meadow yesterday , not that packed at campgrounds . All gates were open ( Eagle and Herring)

Yesterday, there were no barricades at Black Rock and Corral Hollow, not sure about Slick Rock, but at least some things are now opening. Still patches of snow at the top of Corral Hollow.

We'll be up there Friday-Sunday. Hopefully not a lot of people.

Within the past few days, I think they added a good amount of roads to the "now open" category that were previously closed.

Thinking about going to Ellis peak. Any suggestions on where to camp, preferably next to water and Gaia trail maps that you can kindly share?

A buddy and I, and our wives, just met in Coos Bay OR and did 4 days of camping and exploring the NF south into northern CA / Siskiyou and Klamath NFs. Fantastic weather and we had some great campsites along the way.

Maybe more northern than most of you guys but I thought I'd share.
