North Texas beginner trails

My '19 TRD PRO should be delivered late this year, maybe early January and will be my first SUV ever. I plan on taking it off-road (lightly since its a Toyota employee lease). Looking for some basic trail options, no rock crawling, relatively shallow puddles, etc. Something that is fun for a beginner, and has a high probability of fun, and low probability of having to explain why my new 4Runner is trashed.

I know there are some cool spots in South Oklahoma for camping and hiking, but I am healing a ruptured Achilles right now, so I haven't really ventured to those spots myself yet.

Closest place is Northwest OHV park in Bridgeport. Other option is in Gilmer at Barnwell Mountain. Keeping it all stock will be challenging since sliders and skid plates are great for stock height vehicles.
IMHO Gilmer is the better option since there are more trails

We will see how stock it actually stays. Anything I can do that can easily be undone is something id consider. I know it has the stock TRD skid plate that may need an upgrade, adding sliders probably not a huge deal since I didn't order running boards.

The stock TRD skid is not bad. Sliders are almost a must and come in bolt on. It was the very first thing I did to mine.
When you do hit the trail air down the tires some to low 20s. Most parks have air tanks to air back up when you are done.

thanks for the tips. I am not 100% green when it comes to this stuff. I grew up in Michigan and we had some sand dunes my family used to go to every year. Would love for something like that, but not sure it exists around here.
