Northeast snow storm, how are your Michelin Cross Terrains

My dunlops performed well this past weekend while I was up in Vermont.

The temp dropped to -15 deg Farenheit and the 4rnr had more troubles breathing and braking than having traction issues.

Once streets are plowed, the 4runer drove verry well. The only serious time I needed 4 wheel drive was dropping off some friends who live in Queens. The aprons are sometimes 20 inches high.

I agree the Dunlops stink when packed with slush. Ordered the Revo's today at Costco, should be in by the weekend! Can't wait.

Also, orderd my Nifty Premium Floor Mats. Hopefully that'll contain the slush inside. I can't understand why the rear floor mat doesn't have one piece that stretches all the way across like our older Land Cruiser and LX450. Even my mom's sienna has mats that stretch across for the rear rows.

I usually have to put weight (200lbs.) in the bed of my taco to get decent traction, with my first two sets of tires. (Goodyear GS-A and Michelin MTX) I just had a set of Revos put on before the storm. Now, even without the extra weight I'm not slipping and sliding. So far, the Revos have the best traction my taco has ever had. GREAT TIRES!

Are you going with 4 or 5 tires?

Next time Costco has the $60 off, I may get a set.

My sister got 255/70/16, about $135/tire before the rebate.

They had the stock size 265/65/17 so i went with those. only went with 4.

It is about the same price as you said.

I have had no problems with my Dunlops this winter, including in deep snow. I haven't tried the Revos or Michelins so I can't make a comparison, but I don't see the issues people complain about. The Dunlops do just fine as far as I can tell.
