Got the fourth dowel pin made out on the lathe and installed the arms. Arms went on super easy and was able to do it with the truck on the ground.

Maybe it won't fit with your winch being tucked up tight, but the '98 grill makes it look older to me.

You like the Superflex coils and 5100's?
Mine seems to feel SUPER soft on the driver side when I have a full tank. I know; it makes sense. But I swear it wasn't like that with my '99 springs.
Just installed the Superflex/5100's a couple weeks ago, and already wanna swap the 5100's for Tokico black, and possibly get brand new 8-9 wrap LC coils. Sonoran seems to be able to get brand new LC could no problem.
Keep it up man, it's good to see someone else who keeps their shit nice!
I also have a Mk4 that's currently getting the shaved bay body work neglected due to my 3rd gen [emoji23]

I love the satoshi grille. Love the clean look it gives the front end. I hate 01/02 grilles haha.
The Whiteline bushings were the best thing I've done. Certainly tightened up the back end (as you can see the old original bushings were beyond shot). I want to do Whiteline bushings, or something of the sort, on the steering rack. Haven't gotten that far yet.
I love the superflex coils and LT bilsteins. No complaints so far and it rides like a dream. I haven't had any massive weight in the back so I haven't experienced the sag that some people complain about. If I did, I'd probably get airbags.
I'm trying to sell my MK3 that's taking up space in my garage, but no one wants to buy a project. Oh well haha.

Got used rear arms off a member here, pressed old bushings out, primed and painted them, and installed the Whiteline bushings.

Well, with the temperature in the teens at night, it killed the battery. Wasn't enough to start the truck when I went to leave the next morning. Bought a high CCA Interstate battery.
Been meaning to buy one ever since I put the winch/lights on and knew that the battery wasn't working at its peak performance. Fires up quickly now, definitely much needed.
Cleaned the battery tray because I'm a psycho and cleaned the terminals too. Much better

I love this build. This color has grown on me as one of my favorite 3rd gen colors. What size Interstate battery did you end up going with? I still have to hook up my winch, PIAA 4" fog, and ARB compressor. I noticed with the colder weather the slightest hesitation when starting. I have been meaning to get it check out. This is a good reminder.

I'll look at the specs tomorrow, can't remember off the top of my head. I did opt for the higher output Interstate battery. Supposed to be one of the best ones out there. Cost me 125$

Truck started making this god awful rattling noise around the timing cover area, which had me worried since the timing belt was replaced 6 months ago. Ended up being a bad alternator and cheap drive belts. Bought a new alternator and drive belts and she's back up and running.
New alternator and battery, now id like to do the Big 3 upgrade.

Got our first snow of winter. Only an inch, and not enough to play in. Of course, they salted the ever living shit out of the roads. Had to wash the truck/undercarriage as soon as possible. Broke my cardinal rule and went to an automated car wash, it's a solid 20 degrees outside. Too cold for a hand wash.

Been getting the dreaded P0446 code. No CEL, but the UG picks it up. Got it the first time a few months ago and it's been coming back on once a week. Going to. Try a new gas cap for shits and giggles to see if that does the trick.

Yeah. Related to the evap system/charcoal canister/gas cap/etc.
Usually pretty difficult to track down exactly what's causing the code

Ended up going to the dealer and getting an oem gas cap. Definitely seemed like it sealed a lot tighter. Hopefully that's a good fix for the P0446 code.
