so last year around christmas time i was visiting my aunt and uncle in Colorado. After a lot of talking to my uncle, i got him to sell me his 1998 toyota 4runner. My dad and I it home(back to cali) instead of flying back with my mom and brother. This is my first car, even though i dont even have my permit yet. I get that in march. The car has 150000 miles but it looks brand new everywhere even under neath. last weekend i finished putting my lift kit on it and the new wheels. They are 33's witha four inch lift. I think my next upgrade is going to be a set of flowmasters and maybe an air horn to replace the wimpy peep peep. Once i sell my bike i will have enough money to put a nice sound system in it too.

X2 on the magna flow, skip the baffles and go with a flow through design it will sound great. I have the above but with a turndown before the rear axle, and i wish i didnt do that so stray away from that idea unless you want it to sound like a grizzly bear on meth. just sayin. Welcome, I too want to see some pictures son get on it!

Naw, its not bad its just a little deep sounding. Sometimes i like it some times i dont. Depends on what im doing, for instance when the mountain is quiet and peaceful i dont like hearing it. But in town next to a fart can honda its nice to drown out that noise.

NICE! Looks great!! I LOOOOVE my flowmaster but I have a 4th Gen so it probably has a different sound. I know my buddy had a Cherry Bomb and it sounded really nice! And it was cheap too! :lmao:

I like your wheel stops :D I think it may be time for a new investment. Your tires will run right over those.
 
Congrats on the new ride. It wasn't that long ago (few years) that I got my permit and was driving. loads of fun! have fun with your car and but be careful about it!

thanks. it really sucks because i am young for my grade so almost everyone except me is driving. all i want to do is go out for a spin in my new car but im not allowed to yet

I hear you. I was in the tenth grade when I got my license. oddly enough I had a white 1997 Rav4. The "agreement" with me and my mom was only to school and back. lol right. I might have sneaked a couple of races and joy rides but I just blamed late football practices. that work than after the football season, 2nd semester, I was surprised that excuse didn't work lol. For a first car your ride looks pretty sweet!

P.S. some advice get a job so you can start dumping money into it because the modding doesn't really ever stop. =) The girlfriend will understand (or will she?) haha

Impressive job! Nice to see some teenagers with taste these days. :) I normally don't like aftermarket wheels, but those look really good on the white truck, especially with the lift. Is it a Sonoran Steel lift?

great looking truck, I disagree about the exhaust though. I used to have a flowmaster 60 series with 2in piping(i believe) and it sounded like a deep V8. I loved it!

Hahah. I know. I do have a job. I have been working at the local bike shop for a year and a half or so. That's how I have been able to pay for all of this. An yea the girlfriend is cool with it all

I agree with quicksilvr 100% about the aftermarket wheel thing. They just seem to work on that white and black truck though and look great.

Which Sonoran Steel lift is that?
