This is probably going to be more of a maintenance thread than a build thread.
Here is a picture of my latest obsession.
It's a '98 and it's about to hit 237k. Being this old with this many miles, combined with being a Michigan, it has some rust, and a few other issues.
The first thing i had to figure out was the aftermarket stereo head unit that wouldn't work. This turned out to be a blown fuse on the back of the head unit.
Now that I have tunes, it's time to work on the bouncey suspension. I picked up a pair of these KYBs for the rear.
When I got under the truck to install these I realized the old shocks had broken off where they mount to the frame. That would explain a lot of the bounce.
Next up...front struts and UBJs and LBJs.
