Not So New Here

Long time lurker, first time caller haha.

Well I was registered as Evodon84 for several years but I couldn't seem to post or create threads with that username so I created a new one.

I would have to be bear foot or wearing sandals to count how many times I've nearly bought a 3rd Gen Runner. Since I was young my mother and step dad have owned many 4 Runners and Tacoma's so it's in my upbringing lol. My mom bought one of the 2 door Runners new when I was just a wee lad.

Well my wife is recently pregnant and I'm using that as a good excuse to need a more family appropriate vehicle (SUV). When we saw the new '14 Runners at the San Diego Fair, we were both in love.

Anyways, we went to Toyota of El Cajon today to "look" at them and ended up with a 2014 Trail Edition in Magnetic Grey Metallic w/KDSS & Entune Nav. Traded in my wife's 2012 VW GTI. I still own an EVO X so a nice mix of fun and usability.

Was torn between the Silver and the Gray. but ended up with the Gray.

Sorry but we got home at like 9 pm after being at the dealer all day so no pics. I will get some up tomorrow or Monday.

Looks good! I actually just traded in my '11 GTI as well for a 4th Gen. Love the change, although I do miss throwing the GTI into corners.

Welcome! Great choice in color and trim package. Magnetic Grey is one of my favorite Toyota colors. We had a 2006 Prius in Magnetic Grey and loved deep look of the metallic flakes in the paint. Looking forward to seeing the "real" pics in daylight.

Ok here are some day pics. Unfortunately they drilled the front bumper so I'm going to have to fix that. Also did my first mod, removed the dealer emblem.
