My question has nothing to do with whether or not a CAI increases mileage and power. Frankly, in those regards I don’t think it would have a very noticeable effect.
For those of you who have one under the hood, I’d like your opinion on this;
Would having the air come in from under the hood opposed to the inner fenderwell be beneficial during a three foot or less water crossing? Less likely water would make its way in?
