When you have already pulled parts off of an e-brake, you might want to chalk the wheels when you're getting ready to pull a drive shaft.

Just saying...

Things on wheels tend to roll down hill.

Don't ya' just looove it when a brain fart becomes reality! You could make this into a long-standing thread, as many times as we tinkerers have done something similar, while our minds were occupied elsewhere. I can DEFINITELY relate to this! Bravo for being able to laugh at yourself, SV--a lesson many of us need at times.

Let's just say that of all the times I have been underneath a vehicle, I have never moved so fast from underneath one that was NOT on stands!

I said a few choice words, chuckled a little bit, grabbed a beer then laughed some more. It was even funnier when a couple cars passed by. You could see them thinking... WTF?

And no, I didn't need the drive shaft.

Sometimes you get a little check on learning and a reminder to ALWAYS remember safety when working on your vehicles. This could have ended much worse but no one was hurt and nothing was damaged. It just ended up being a funny story and a reminder to be safe.
