And what about the main office, governor?

Here in New Mexico, Republican Susana Martinez won the election for governor. The votes were about 57% to 43%.
(as of the night of the election, may change slightly after thorough counting)
Her opponent was Democratic candidate Diane Denish. Yes both were females, and this makes the state's first female governor.

We also had our first female governor in South Carolina. She was Republican as was most of the state.

Here in TN our current governor is Democrat and now Bill Haslam won as a Republican. Most of our incumbent Republican Senators and House Reps won with the exception of a few Democrats. Tennessee has mostly been a GOP conservative state.

Unfortunatley, in NY (democrat) Cuomo won. In CT it would seem the republican Foley is in the lead, thankfully my permanent address is in CT and not NY.

At the cafe i work at, the republican candidate for house district 1 comes in a few days a week to eat. When he was cashing out monday (the 1st), i asked him if he was ready to get to work. He replied "yes sir, boss." Then shoke my hand and left.Now there is a guy who knows who he works for, taxpayers.

The land of fruits and nuts of course elected the jurassic incumbent Barbara Boxer for a thousandth straight term (seriously, she and Fienstein have been hoarding the Senate seats here since I was in elementary school and now I'm going to my 10 year college reunion soon). I thought Democrats wanted change?? Apparently not because we also dug up our previously failed Governer Jerry Brown from the grave. I guess the illegals know best for CA! Boxer's campaign signs even said "Viva Boxer!" with the upside-down exclamation point and everything. Where has America gone? If someone knows where my America went, please call - REWARD!

Yep. A pretty disappointing election here in Cali. At least there was just enough voters that had enough smarts to vote down Prop 23. But what I can't figure out is why Prop 21 did'nt pass? I guess Californians don't cherish their state parks enough to sacrifice $18 a year and get free access to all of the parks.

Our Senate race still isn't final. It has been really close the whole time, and it's esentially a statisical tie, so I'm sure a recount here is pending. :nono:

I want my old Colorado back!!! Most of the displaced Kalifornicators are ruining it here (Denver, Boulder, Aspen, etc.)!!!

Feh! I lived in Ft. Worth for 5 1/2 years, and you just don't get this kind of scenery in TX:

I'd say, after living there for 4 1/2 years, that Northern AZ is currently the best combination of the two. But it still isn't CO. Gimme my CO from 25 years ago back please!!!

I guess maybe you have a few years before you catch up to CA's politics, but that sucks it's going in that direction. Maybe I'll just have to move to Alaska, buy an arsenal of assault rifles, and hole up in a bear cave with my 4runner!
