Just moved to the Alexandria area. Got me another 4runner and looking for anyone in the area that would be interested in hitting up some trails.

Neat-o. I'm maybe 10 minutes from DC, further north along the yellow line.
Can't find any good driving areas other than the parkway to Mt. Vernon.

Ya, I haven't found any either. I normally drive the Mt. Vernon Pkwy home and the highlight for me this year has been driving through the small parks when it was snowing.
 
What parks? I haven't found any good ones, and Huntley Meadows isn't really drivable.

I just remembered a pretty sweet road.
It's called "The Parkway" in Alexandria, VA, the grovetown area. It's really residential but hilly. There's also a fun little quasi-twisty and hilly road called Memorial St. and Gentele Ct. The end of Gentele by The Parkway is really hilly, and there are two speed humps. One is alright, and another is at 38.778024,-77.094869 which is really terrible and is a killer.


If you follow The Parkway across Kings Highway it leads into a little residential area with one exit, and it's alright and hilly, but nothing special.

Those are pretty much the only interesting places I can think of at this moment. It's not really worth it cause they're out of the way, but I just can't think of more.

Looks like fun, but where exactly is that lol? Sucks when my 4r is pretty much stock.
 
I might go and check those places out. Mine is pretty much stock too, I have a 3" lift that I haven't found time to put on yet.

Would anyone be interested in meeting up at the Giant on Telegraph/Hayfield or maybe the Walmart on Manchester one of these Sundays? I think there is a car group that meets every Sunday at the Giant. I've seen some pretty sweet rides there.....so if no T4R's show up it won't be a wasted trip. Haha. I can't this Sunday, but figured I would throw it out there.
 
Ya i've seen them out there a few time when the family and I would eat at Katana. Looks like a heavy chevy corvette group. I only live a few miles down the road off telegraph as well. Keep me posted.

Running Flag Pole this weekend if anyone is interested (George Washington National Forest). Super mellow trail ride.
 
anybody own 3rd gen 4runner with two wounded warrior sticker on the hatch? body color is gold with black wheels. has roof rack. I spot you all the time on 66 around 5pm.
 
4th gen 4runner owner here. I live in Aldie, VA right across from John Champe High School. I have seen two 4runners in my neighborhood, both with some work done. A grey 4th gen with wheels, tires, maybe a small lift and a grey 5th gen trail with a t4r decal, bfg at, roof rack, etc.
