After trying multiple avenues to get a custom rack built, I'm finding that the most likely way to accomplish this would be to actually get involved in the build. The biggest problem? I have no welding experience/capabilities. What I do have is design and CAD experience/capabilities.
My proposal to someone local (I'm in Sterling, VA) would be to essentially trade design time for fabrication time. If someone is looking to build their own rack that will look good and won't cost 2k after customizing/shipping, I'd be interested in working on getting some designs put together. This is probably not something that would be enticing for a full blown shop, but if someone happens to just be more of a weekend warrior. Happy to make two separate rack designs if you had something different in mind than what I've got as well.
Why is this in the 4th gen section? Well, it'd be alot easier to design for the same vehicle, but if you're looking for something on a different truck we can talk. I'm also not sure if this'd gain any traction, but hell I guess it never hurts to ask. I've also got 3d printing capabilities if that's of use to anybody.
