Now much off MSRP should I pay for a 2005

Just to keep it simple How much off the MSRP should I pay. In my area Toyota has $1000 customer cash back and Edmunds shows that including the $1K customer cash back that you should pay between $4000 -$4500 off the MSRP for a new 2005 4runner. What are the new 2005 owners seeing on your purchases. I tried to do a search for this information but came up with about 500 threads and did not want to try and read them all to find this information. Thanks

AT least 3K of MSRP before rebates. I think Toyota are having a hard time flogging these platforms, with all the hybrids and fuel prices.

What I did for the GX as go to carsdirect.com and get a price with options. This gives a good idea for a starting point. You should get a better price than the website, or else you might as well use them.

Also work them hard for the trade in, the Z should still give you a lot of money.

I think the dealers and Toyota are trying to keep the volume up for the 4Rs. In my area rebates are $1500 now, which is not very common. SO you have lots of leverage!!

Average Joe soap is trying to get a highlander or the highlander hybrid now.

I had to special order mine several months back and picked it up about a week ago. Because I ordered it I didn't get a particularly great deal. I skipped the $1000 rebate and took 0% 60 month financing instead so my total was just over $3K under MSRP. If you don't order it you should be able to do better.

That sounds like what I am hearing from the local internet sales managers plus I get another $1000 back for the rebate. The key is what I will get for the trade-in. That is where they make the $$$, they give you tradeing value for a excellent vehicle and they make $3000 on the next guy, when they sell your car. Guess that's why they are in the car business.

I'm in a similar area, with the $1000 Rebate, and I got my T4R for $14 over Invoice, and then they gave me $1000 rebate on top of that.

I'm finding that it isn't a problem to find a dealer that will quote invoice plus a couple of hundred bucks and then you keep the rebate. Its the trade-in they want to bend you over on. Example I have a like new 350Z Touring model, with only 16K miles on it. It had a MSRP 19 months ago of $35,800, I got it for $33,800 which back then was a great deal since most dealers were selling near sticker. The Toyota dealer offered me $21,000 for mine. Even though there isn't a used 350Z coupe for sale within 75 miles of the city I live in and the internet shows that like 350Z's in other parts of my state are being priced at $29K. Which means they would go for around $27K. I am not taking that kind of screwing and let a dealer make $6K on my trade. I'm keeping my 350Z and will buy a used 1995-97 Landcruiser when I get to SW Utah for around $10-12K as a second 4x4 and have the Z for canyon runs .

I bought it from Larry Miller Toyota. My sales associate was Chris Smith. (He was awesome.) They had to bring mine from Vegas because I was very specific in the options and color that I wanted. I've had it for two weeks now and I love it. The number is 623-876-3400.
