Friend's uncle is affected by this.

4,700 workers but total will be 30,000 affected because of the distributors, restaurants, etc.

No surprise to me, Tacomas are made in Mexico. Don't know where else Corollas are made. The plant IMO is excess now capacity with GM out and the first of 11 plant closings for Toyota's reduction of 1 million vehicles. Besides IIRC it's the only unionized Toyota plant in the US which a strike halted production years ago. They get better bennies at NUMMI, but don't get profit sharing as with other Toyota plants.
