NY/LI Dealership Experience

Took a look in the dealer section of the forum and there's not too much feedback for NY/LI dealers. Just sold my 98 Limited and looking to pick up a new 4Runner. What was your personal experience? What dealership? When and what did you buy? How was negotiating pricing? How were salespeople you dealt with? Post buy service?

robb600 i just purchased mine from Sunrise Toyota, the guy I worked with his name was Stephen Giorgio, but I believe he recently moved out to Riverhead. I know different salesmen have different experiences with other people, but I never had an issue with Stephen directly, he was straight forward and to the point. If you like you can give him a call at Riverhead and talk to him directly over the phone yourself. I can definitely tell you to keep away from any Atlantic Toyota or any of their affiliates (Huntington, and Millennium), they were awful and they basically ruined my credit, running my credit over and over without my consent and made it impossible for me to get a new car. Hope this helps,

Cheers

3 years later....

Hey guys - I know I am 3 years late to this thread but curious to know if any
of you guys have any experience with asking a Toyota dealership to have their mechanics inspect a used 3rd gen before buying? My idea is to ask the dealer/seller if I can bring the truck to a Toyota shop to have their mechanics check it out for me.

Thoughts?

I know that Middle island refused to work on my truck because they say it's too old.

It's been dealer maintained since the day i purchased it shame really.
