what year is it? Up to 98 had O2 sensors. 99 + had A/F sensors. Make sure you get it right since they arnt compatable

Brother...
Have i got one for you.... I have my 97. the CE light was on.. Ok So i popped the hood- the engine was still there. closed the hood.
Light was still on..
OK enough of the bad humor.... I think the o2 sensors are in banks and they are not cheap. i just had mine done parts and labor was $300 yes this was at the dealer(i only go to dealrs I dont trust the local shops to do anything)
When i had it diagnosed they told me infact that it was the sensor most of the time thats exactly what it is... bloody emmisions.. thats all it is... and her in NY they get $110 per hour for labor.. plus the part...
I would do the math for you but i just left my dealer with a bill for 1K 90K maint and the o2 sensor...
Damn

thanks guys but i think there is 2- O2 Sensor on my 96 4Runner?? just wondering which one could it be? It's a 4cyl. 2.7L engine

Compare to these guys--very well thought of on the boards. I did my '99 Cali. SR5 and found it very easy. Plenty of how-to's to search for. The code should tell you if it is the front or rear sensor, but the front almost always goes out first due to higher temp.
