Obd fusion TPMS

Anyone using OBD Fusion on ios and able to get the tpms to display the actual tire pressure?

You can set it through display configuration>Toyota,Lexus,Scion>tire pressure monitor. But I think I have something set wrong because the display windows always show 0. I'm thinking maybe there is a setting to tell my carista obdII reader to read that as it doesn't look like it's a "network A" PID code.

I'm not 100% certain, but if you read through some posts about OBD II sensors in the T4R's, they'll never display TPMS information because of an older protocol the sensors send out and are not accessed by the sensor. I was reading through some posts about the Torque Pro App when I stumbled on that tidbit of information.

Search either OBD II or Torque Pro in the forums and it'll clear it up much better than I did.

I thought about that but wondering how then the idata link maestro reads them for aftermarket head units. That device just hooks to the obdII port as well, guess it has better internals. Scanguage will read them too.

Been scouring forums looking for the PIDs to try and manually add but can’t find them

Looking through the forums when I was considering it, and from all of the custom PIDs, they just don't seem to exist

The Maestro reads TPMS off the SIL wire at the OBD2. Most OBD connectors only read from the can bus wires there. I have Carista and access to beta testers and the beta version of the app that was supposed to see TPMS but I never saw anything with it.

We'll that sucks. For some reason I really like that functionality. Guess the new HU is moving up the to do list.

Thanks I was reading that but assumed maybe that had been “fixed” as that was a few years ago. Scanguage seems to have gained the ability to read tpms but maybe their device reads 9600 and 10400 baud whereas the Carista and other such devices don’t.

On the GX 460 with OBD Fusion this is related to the OBD adapter being used. It needs to be a legitimate 2.x ELM327 device to read this module. The cheap Chinese ones won't generally work. Check out thread here:

I can read TPMS sensors fine with module I ordered from Romania but Carista literally added support this week too.

This adapter with OBD Link or OBD Fusion should get you TPMS on 4R as well. Easy plug and play and seemingly the closest to a portable Techstream I have seen. It sees into all modules and easy to throw up all your gauges for AT temps. It is also firmware upgradeable from the Link app.

The advantage of OBD Link versus Fusion is that it gets you all of the $9.99 vehicle add-ons for all vehicle. Fusion makes you buy each one so if you plan to use on multiple year and brand vehicles Link can be a better deal. Link comes with the adapter.

on a 460 and probably similar to 4R here is a list of sensors you can create gauges for. No guarantee they all work but just the other day said wanted a gauge to show lockup of TC... easy to put one on.

According to another member on here, the Kiwi 3 dongle also works for displaying TPMS data.

iOS itself seems to create issues with full functionality using some dongles also? VeePeak BLE 4.0 doesn't work for instance.
