How is it this year? This is year 19 for our annual trip, headed down in two weeks. Wondering about the restaurants and seating, etc. We would typically eat at the house for breakfast, but eat out every other meal in between the beach and lighthouses. I know it’s going to be very different this year, any tips?

What village/area do you go to? The following info is for Hatteras Island (Avon to Frisco) and Ocracoke. Outdoor dining only. Better bring your own supplies as supermarkets are lean. Last week on Hatteras Island folks were posting that they couldn't get into their rentals until 6,7, and even 9 PM. Cleaning staff is low because people can collect more money than they can cleaning houses. Realtors are saying there is nothing they can do nor are offering some sort of money back. We were supposed to go to Ocracoke back in May but canceled due to NC still under stay at home orders. Glad we did and got our money refunded. Locals who don't own business don't want visitors coming there and infecting everyone with Covid 19. A real shit show!

97BlackAckCL, where is your friend staying? KDH, KH, and Nags Head are very different from Hatteras Island and Ocracoke Island. Hope everyone is having a good time. Been going to Cape Hatteras since the early 1970's. Just love the area and the fishing is terrific! Dave
